The print media world is evolving rapidly. Newspapers and magazines are changing their areas and methods of distribution, frequency, consolidating titles, converting to web only products and closing publications. Southern Community Newspapers Changes Distribution Days and Printing Facility
Southern Community Newspapers announced yesterday that some of its publications will have their distribution days changed, while three will also change their printing location. The Gwinnett Daily Post will reduce its distribution to Wednesday through Sunday, and the Clayton News Daily and Henry Daily Herald will both switch to Wednesday, Friday and Saturday distribution.
The Clayton News Daily, Henry Daily Herald and Jackson Progress Argus will also move their printing to the main Southern Community Newspaper Gwinnett facility.
These changes will all take place on March 4th, 2012.
Mooresville Tribune to Discontinue Friday Distribution
The Mooresville Tribune has announced it will discontinue its Friday distribution effective March 29th, 2012. The publication will continue to distribute on Wednesday and Sunday.

Boonville Daily News Changes Distribution Days
The Boonville Daily News changed its distribution days to Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, effective November 2011. The publication previously had distributed five days a week, Monday through Friday.

El Observador de Utah Changes Name to OKEspañol
The El Observador de Utah, the largest hispanic publication in Utah, has renamed itself the OKEspañol. The publication is also changing its distribution schedule from a Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday distribution to Wednesday and Saturday. These changes took effect on Saturday, February 11th, 2012.

Houston La Voz to Increase Distribution
The Houston Chronicle has announced that it will be taking on efforts to increase the distribution of La Voz from 100,000 to 150,000 for the second half of 2012. The focus will be on targeting areas currently defined as low performing.
